Man arrested after commercial break-and-enter in Oakville

A quick and coordinated effort by Halton police patrol officers led to the arrest of an Oakville man after an overnight commercial break-and-enter.

On Dec. 2 just before midnight officers responded to a break-and-enter in progress at the Used Tire Depot on 273 Speers Rd in Oakville.

Officers found one suspect inside the property fence line attempting to steal tires from the store.

The suspect tried to flee the area and a foot pursuit ensued.

Police have arrested and charged Randy Michael Potter, 41, on a number of counts, including disguise and break and enter with intent and failing to comply with a probation order.

Potter has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
