Stratford’s own Justin Bieber was the toast of last night’s American Music Awards winning both artist of the year and favourite pop/rock album for “Believe” and male artist.

The 18 year old was joined on stage by his mom, whom he thanked for always believing in him. He also had a message for “the haters” those who predicted Bieber fever would be a short lived phenomenon. Accepting one of his awards Bieber said he thinks he’ll be around for a long time.
