Judge: reconsider decision to exclude Smith video

The family of a 19 year old woman who died in an Ontario prison, has won a victory in court.

A judge has ruled that the decision to exclude graphic jailhouse videos from the inquest into Ashley Smith’s death must be reconsidered. Those videos were not shown in court Thursday. What the jury saw was more images of the troubled teen — fighting off staff, being restrained by officers… and at other times tying pieces of cloth around her neck. As Cristina Tenaglia tells us, the images will help the jury determine if Smith’s death was an accident — or suicide. And we warn — some of the images you are about to see are disturbing.
