Investment in Thorold

Some exciting economic news for the Niagara region at a Tuesday morning news conference.

A Chinese wind tower manufacturer announced it will be investing $25 million and creating up to 250 jobs in Thorold.

TSP Canada Towers has purchased the old Dana plant.

It will hire skilled trade workers in the next few months.

150 people will be hired in phase one, and another hundred in phase two.

This will be the company’s first North American operation.

It chose Thorold because of access to road, rail and water transportation routes.
