Infested Ash trees to be removed from Confederation Park in Hamilton

Approximately 65 dead or dying Ash trees will be removed from Confederation Beach Park along the Hamilton Waterfront Trail beginning next week.
The trees are all showing signs of declining health due to infestation by the Emerald Ash Borer.
Removal of the trees will take around two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The City of Hamilton says each Ash tree that is removed will be replaced with a new species of tree.
Crews will continue to remove dead or dying Ash trees throughout the city over the coming years as required.
