Brad Stapleton ends Hamilton Ward 9 campaign

As Election Day Monday is approaching, Brad Stapleton ends his campaign for Hamilton Ward 9 councillor and instead endorses another candidate.

This leaves four candidates in the running including incumbent Brad Clark, Abhijeet Gill, Jonathan Stathakos and Eileen Walker.

“I have to be realistic about the path ahead and recognize I do not have a path forward to victory,” Stapleton posted on Facebook on Thursday.

“After careful consideration, I believe Brad Clark is the best choice for Ward 9. While we haven’t always agreed on everything, I respect his experience, maturity and ability to serve our community effectively.”

Stapleton thanked everyone who supported his campaign and said no matter who wins on Monday, he will continue to advocate for residents and hold council accountable.
