The City of Hamilton is warning the public of upcoming road closures from Ridge Road between Third Road East and Tapleytown Road in Wards 9 and 10.
The city says these closures will begin on Monday and end on Dec. 18, weather permitting.
City officials say the closures are for restoration work, including culvert installation and slope stabilization, as part of the work associated with the Dewitt Hill rockfall and the ongoing efforts to stabilize the escarpment.
The city says local access will be maintained via Third Road East and Ridge Road.
Emergency access will also be maintained. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time for travel as traffic delays are expected in the area.
City officials say these projects renew aging infrastructure, improve how people and goods move throughout the city and help ensure Hamilton’s roads remain safe and reliable for residents and businesses.
