Motorcyclist seriously injured in Welland crash

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a motorcyclist is in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries following a crash in Welland.

On Thursday at around 5 p.m., OPP were called to the scene of the collision at the intersection of Highway 140 and East Main Street. 

Officers say the westbound lanes were closed for several hours but the road has since reopened.

There is no word yet on whether charges will be laid.
