Halton police charge four people following investigation of Oakville robbery

Halton police have arrested four people and laid dozens of charges following an investigation of a home invasion in Oakville that happened in February.

Officers say at around 10 a.m. on Feb. 24, three suspects wearing masks and one armed with a hammer, forced their way through the front door of a home on Settlers Road in Oakville.

The suspects had allegedly confronted a woman and confined her to a closet as they stole several items, including designer clothes totalling in excess of $70,000.

The suspects then allegedly fled in a Honda CRV.

The woman who was confined in the closet did not suffer any injuries, and did not mention seeing any firearms.

Following an investigation, police executed search warrants at homes in Brantford on March 13, which resulted in the seizure of drugs, firearms and stolen property.

Officers seized 4.5 ounces of crack cocaine, 12 ounces of fentanyl, 1kg of cocaine, 120 hydromorphone pills and 25 ounces of Methamphetamine.

They also seized two loaded Glock handguns, one loaded Glock magazine and multiple rounds of ammunition.

Investigators recovered a stolen Honda CRV from Toronto, stolen license plates from Brantford and property that was stolen from the Oakville home invasion the month before.

As part of the investigation, police have charged 32-year-old Dontee Golding of Brantford with multiple offences related to robbery, breaking and entering and possessing loaded firearms and drugs.

Officers charged a 30-year-old man from Kitchener with offenses including robbery, breaking and entering, and possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one charge for possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Detectives charged 32-year-old Teala Talley-Downey of Brantford with several offences including possessing a loaded firearm, possessing drugs, and for careless storage of a prohibited device.

27-year-old Tewodros Neuman of Brantford has been charged with possessing fentanyl and cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, and for possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000.

All four have been held in custody pending a bail hearing at a Milton courthouse at a future date.
