Halton Hills police investigation closes part of Eighth Line

A police investigation into criminal activity has closed a part of Eighth Line between No. 5 and No. 10 Side Roads in Halton Hills.

Police say they are investigating in the Georgetown area but did not specify the nature of the incident.

Officers are actively working the scene and local residents and passing motorists are advised to stay away from the area.

Police say there is no threat to the public.

The road is expected to remain closed for a few hours.
