G20 charges dropped against officer

Disciplinary charges laid against one of the two police officers charged with an illegal G20 arrest have been dismissed.

The prosecution decided there was no evidence to support a guilty finding against Constable Jason Crawford. The charges followed the arrest of a lawyer during the G20, who later complained he had done nothing wrong to warrant his detention. Crawford’s co-accused, Constable Ryan Smith, is currently testifying in his own defence.
