Funeral arrangements made for Pigskin Pete III

Funeral arrangements have been made for Hamilton’s most famous Pigskin Pete.

Tomorrow Paul Weiler’s viewing is taking place at the Donald V Brown Funeral Home in Stoney Creek from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral will be Saturday morning at the Incarnation of our Blessed Lord in Hamilton.

Weiler was the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ Pigskin Pete for 31 seasons, leading Ticat fans in their Oskee Wee Wees from 1976 to 2006. He died yesterday in his sleep at 80 years old.

Weiler followed in the footsteps of Vince and Bill Wirtz, the original two Pigskin Petes.
