Friends fundraising for former Shaw actor in coma

Overwhelming support has poured in for a former Shaw Festival actor.

Prince Amponsah, 27, has been in a medically-induced coma since a fire broke out in Toronto early last month. The actor suffered third degree burns to over 64 percent of his body.

He’s already lost his right arm and left hand due to infection. His close friends created a YouTube video recalling what had happened that tragic night, asking for aid, and talking about their friend.

Family, friends and even strangers have donated to aid the burn victim. So far they have collected over $13,000. If you would like to help Prince, this page has been set up for him.
