Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger dies

A titan of 20th century U.S. foreign policy has died. He was a polarizing figure in American politics, who had his hand in some of the most significant events of the 1970s.
Henry Kissinger was Secretary of State under Republican U.S. presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
He died at his home in Connecticut yesterday at the age of 100. Revered and reviled, Kissinger leaves behind a complicated legacy – with some praising him for brilliance and experience, and others branding him a war-criminal for his support of anti-communist dictatorships.
