Ford government plans to sell private jet after public backlash

The Ford government is reversing course and says it will now sell the nearly $30-million dollar private jet bought for the premier. It comes just a few days after the province purchased the 2016 Bombardier Challenger 650 jet saying it was necessary as the premier is travelling more often across the province, the country and to the United States amid the trade war. The premier’s office initially defended the decision amid waves of backlash, saying the $28-point-9 million dollar purchase is cheaper than the $107 million that Quebec taxpayers shoveled out for their fleet.
