Flash flooding in Maryland causes serious damage

Local officials are conducting damage assessments in Ellicott city, Maryland, after extreme flooding over the Memorial Day weekend.
This is the second time floodwaters have brought damage to this area.
Cars and buildings were wrecked in the hazardous conditions.
Many businesses in the city were just finished re-building after the flood from two years ago, before property was once again destroyed.
The Maryland governor announced a coordinated response from state agencies for clean up assistance on Monday.
These organizations include The Maryland State Police, The Department of Transportation, and The State Emergency Management agency.
This comes after he declared a state of emergency Sunday for the affected areas.
