Firefighters rescue 3 people from burning home in Welland

Firefighters rescued three people from a burning home in Welland on Tuesday evening.

Welland Fire and Emergency Services responded around 7:40 p.m. to the home on Lincoln Street.

Officials say one of the three people rescued was taken to hospital for an assessment before being released.

Investigators say the fire is not considered to be suspicious.

The cost of damages is estimated at $200,000.
