The jury at the Tim Bosma murder trial heard today from the man who found his missing truck. That discovery inside an airplane hangar owned by Dellen Millard broke the case wide open.

Arthur Jennings told the court he needed a work placement to finish his college course. His son-in-law worked at Dellen Millard’s airplane hangar and Jennings arranged to labour there for a few months, leading up to May 2013.

On May 7th, Jennings said Millard contacted all employees and told them not to come to work that day. Jennings and his son in law were shocked, it was very out of character for Millard.

That night, Jennings saw this news report on CHCH about Tim Bosma’s disappearance after a test drive. He noted the chrome running boards on Bosma’s truck. The following day Jennings went back to work at the hangar and saw a truck that looked just like the one he had seen on TV. He immediately thought of Tim Bosma. He took photos of the VIN number and called Crimestoppers. When he found out that the truck in his workplace was indeed Tim Bosma’s he says he was so upset, he went out to his own truck and vomited.

We also heard from Igor Tumanenko today, he took two men for a test drive of his black diesel truck that was for sale on May 5th, the day before Bosma went missing. He positively identified Mark Smich through a police lineup as the man who rode in the back on the test drive. He said the other guy had a tattoo of the word ‘ambition’ on his wrist, we’ve heard Dellen Millard has such a tattoo.
