Two charged, $83K of fentanyl seized in Niagara Falls drug bust

Following a drug trafficking investigation in Niagara Falls, police charged two suspects and seized a firearm along with $83,000 worth of fentanyl.

Detectives applied for and were then granted a search warrant for a hotel room on Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls. On Tuesday, the male suspect was arrested on Main Street.

Investigators executed the search warrant and arrested a female within the hotel room.

Officers say they recovered 833 grams suspected fentanyl (street value of $83,000), a Glock 36 Handgun with four rounds of ammunition and $6,000 in Canadian currency.

Antonio Iuliani, 30, of no fixed address is facing eight charges including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking (fentanyl).

Ashley Lepera, 34, of no fixed address is facing seven charges including the same two as Iuliani.

Both suspects remain in custody and are scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Wednesday at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
