Nine arrested, $11K in drugs seized in downtown St. Catharines investigation

Niagara police have arrested nine people and seized more than $11,000 worth of drugs after an investigation into the trafficking of narcotics to vulnerable populations in downtown St. Catharines.

Officers say the initiative was launched in July and dubbed the “Street to Source” initiative.

As a result, detectives seized 65 grams of Fentanyl, 325 hydromorphone tablets, 19.4 grams of suspected cocaine, 2.1 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and 32.6 grams of MDMA.

Tristan McDowell, 27, of St. Catharines is charged with:

• Trafficking fentanyl
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
• Fail to comply with probation order

Robert Smyth, 64, of St. Catharines is charged with:

• Traffic cocaine
• Possession of hydromorphone
• Possession of cocaine

Carmen Micieli, 61, of St. Catharines is charged with:

• Traffic hydromorphone

Richard Alligood, 54, of St. Catharines is charged with:

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• Trafficking substances
• Three counts of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking

Trevor Hubert, 45, of St. Catharines is charged with:

• Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• Possession of prohibited weapon
• Breach of weapons prohibition
• Fail to comply with undertaking

Harmony Marynissan, 33, of Niagara Falls is charged with:

• Trafficking fentanyl
• Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of a hydromorphone

Ayden Murphy, 18, of Burlington is charged with:

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• Possession of a fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking

Isaiah Lucas-Roy, 19, of Ancaster is charged with:

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking

A 17-year-old male from Burlington, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• Possession of a fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
• Traffic fentanyl
