Charges laid in head-on crash
A St. Catharines woman has been arrested and charged with drunk driving in connection to a serious head on collision.
Police say 42 year-old Hatidje Ahmed lost control of her car while driving on Louth Street in St. Catharines near the end of July.
She allegedly crashed head on into a Chevy Malibu being driven by a 47 year old man.
He was airlifted to Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital in serious condition and is still recovering from his injuries.
Ahmed is facing several charges including impaired driving and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
