Burlington Council approves tax hike
Burlington City Council has approved a tax hike of nearly 4.5%.
It means that residents will have to pay an extra $19 per $100,000 current value assessment on their 2013 property tax bills. When combined with the region’s 0.8% increase, the overall tax hike is $2.7%. There was no education tax increase this year. The bump takes effect on May First.
