Brantford police are hoping the public can help identify the suspects wanted in connection with three separate knifepoint robberies.

Police say all three incidents took place at retail businesses in the city.

The first robbery happened on March 3 just before 8 p.m. in the area of Lynden Rd. and Wayne Gretzky Parkway.

Investigators were told a man walked into the store and grabbed some merchandise. He then attempted to leave the business without paying and was confronted by an employee. The man allegedly pulled out a knife and left the store on foot.

Police describe the suspect as white and in his forties. He was wearing a NASA shirt, a camouflage jacket and was carrying a green reusable grocery bag.

Officers responded to another robbery at a business in the same area on March 8 around 12:30 p.m.

Police say a man who was also wearing a NASA shirt and had a similar suspect description robbed the store in the same manner and fled on foot.

About an hour later, police were called to another robbery at a convenience store in the area of Erie Ave. and Eagle Ave.

A man, whose description did not match the previous two robberies, entered the store, pulled out a knife and demanded cash from the clerk.

He stole an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot.

The man wanted in connection with that robbery is described as white, roughly five-foot-seven, in his mid-thirties, with a thin build and frizzy dark-coloured hair that was in a bun. He was wearing dark-coloured pants, a grey Under Armour hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball hat with a yellow “DeWalt” logo, and a brown camouflage bandana-style face mask.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the suspects.
