Hamilton single-vehicle crash leaves 18-year-old motorcyclist dead

Hamilton police say an 18-year-old is dead after a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the city’s east end.

On Saturday at around 11 a.m., officers responded to the area of Queenston Road above the Red Hill Valley Parkway for reports of a crash.

Investigators say the rider involved in the collision was initially taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say Queenston Road between the north and south exits of the Red Hill Valley Parkway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
