Boston Red Sox win 2018 World Series

The Boston Red Sox are World Series champions.

The Red Sox beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5 to 1 in game five Sunday night.

Boston starter and former Toronto Blue Jay David Price allowed just one run and struck out five in seven innings while another former blue jay, Steve Pearce, was named the Series Most Valuable Player.

Boston entered the playoffs as a heavy favorite, winning a franchise-record 108 games in the regular season. This is the fourth World Series Championship in 15 years for the franchise.
