42-year-old Brantford man wanted for stabbing: police
Police are searching for a 42-year-old Brantford man wanted for a stabbing that sent one person to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On July 26 at approximately 2:40 p.m., officers attended a lodging home at Dalhousie Street near Brock Street for reports of an injured male who had been assaulted.
Investigators say a verbal dispute between the male and the suspect occurred before the stabbing. The suspect fled prior to police arriving on scene.
The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Dameon Hunter of Brantford has been identified as the suspect involved in the stabbing. An arrest warrant has been issued for Hunter.
He now faces the following charges:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Failure to comply with probation
Detectives are advising the public to not approach Hunter and call 911.
