Brantford police seize loaded handgun, drugs and cash during traffic stop

A man and woman were arrested in Brantford after a loaded firearm, cocaine and fentanyl were found during a traffic stop.

On Saturday just before 2 a.m. officers observed a vehicle without its lights on. Through investigation it was revealed that the male passenger was wanted for two outstanding warrants.

Police say while trying to arrest the male, he struggled with police and they discovered he was concealing a loaded 9 mm handgun and a large amount of money.

The female driver attempted to interfere and then tried to flee the scene with a bag from inside the vehicle, she was also arrested.

The bag contained cocaine with a street vale of $320 and fentanyl with a street value of $11,000.

28-year-old Jihaad Al-Kisadi from North York is facing a number of firearm related charges and possession for the purpose of trafficking.  35-year-old Autumn Johnny from Brantford is charged with obstruct police and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
