The City of Hamilton says it has secured $572 million in federal and provincial funding aimed at accelerating major infrastructure projects.
Those projects include road repair and maintenance, expanding water and wastewater capacity, and helping create new housing.
The city says this money is the single largest investment in its infrastructure in the city’s history.
It will be part of the program aimed at eliminating development charges over three years on new residential builds.
