To support Niagara flood victims, seven local radio stations are teaming up on Wednesday to broadcast and raise funds for Feed Niagara in what they are calling “Day of Giving Niagara”.
The radio stations part of these joint efforts include 105-1 The River, 101.1 More FM, 610 CKTB, 97.7 HZT FM, Dream 105.7, 91.7 Giant FM and New Country 89.
These stations will be asking their listeners to support flood victims by donating online.
Feed Niagara consists of 10 local foodbanks such as Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold, Project SHARE in Niagara Falls, the Hope Centre in Welland, Pelham Cares Inc. in Pelham and GBF Community Services in Grimsby.
The Community Care of West Niagara in Beamsville/Lincoln, Port Cares in Port Colborne, Newark Neighbours in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Salvation Army in Fort Erie and West Lincoln Community Centre in West Lincoln, are also included in this list.
