A Beamsville woman is facing charges in the U.S. after being accused of stealing over $43 thousand dollars worth of gold and silver in Pennsylvania.
Police say Kaileigh Hogan, 25, allegedly signed for a package containing the metals and then fled with the goods.
Investigators say license plate readers, intersection cameras and other surveillance helped track the vehicle.
On July 5, officers arrested Hogan while she was trying to cross the border into Canada from Lewiston, New York.
She is facing charges for theft and forgery and remains in custody at a facility near Philadelphia, with bail set at $100 thousand U.S.
