Halton police are appealing to residents with video or information after a serious crash in Halton Hills Wednesday left a motorcycle rider with life-altering injuries.

Officers say they received reports of a crash involving a motorcycle at around 3:43 a.m. in the area of Steeles Avenue and Fifth Line.

They say a red Honda motorcycle was travelling westbound on Steeles Avenue and left the roadway.

The rider of the motorcycle sustained life-altering injuries and was transported to an out-of-region trauma centre.

Investigators are continuing to look into the cause of the crash.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating due to the severity of the injuries.

Anyone with information, who was travelling on Steeles Avenue between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m., or who has dash cam video is asked to contact police at 905-825-4747, ext. 5065.
