NYC mayor Calls on U.S. government to act on Netanyahu warrant

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has acknowledged that city officials cannot arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying it was never a campaign promise.

Yesterday, the first-term mayor posted a video on social media calling on the U.S. government to follow through on the international arrest warrants issued in 2024 over alleged war crimes committed during the Gaza war.

The comments come as Netanyahu is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York this fall.
