Hamilton charities get nearly $400K from Tim’s Smile Cookies

Hamiltonians came together to raise $198,894.85 for Food4Kids Hamilton in this spring’s Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign.

Food4Kids Hamilton says this same amount was raised for Hamilton Food Share, for a total of almost $398,000.

“Throughout this year’s campaign, we were able to fill more than 300 volunteer cookie decorating shifts at Tim Hortons restaurants across the city of Hamilton,” Food4Kids Hamilton says.

“Thank you for stepping up to show that you care about those in our community who are faced with critical levels of food insecurity,” the non-profit organization says.

The team says the funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward the Food4Kids Hamilton summer program, helping ensure that 1,825 local kids continue to have access to breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the summer months.
