Police have arrested a Hamilton man and laid additional charges against Bryan Hayward in an ongoing sexual assault investigation.
Officers say they arrested 43-year-old Gilles Richard on May 21 after additional victims came forward.
Richard has been charged with gang sexual assault, procuring, administering a stupefying or overpowering drug and failure to comply with a probation order.
Investigators allege Richard and Hayward met through an online platform and say the pair would arrange “sexual encounters involving adult victims.”
The two men are accused of using social media platforms and dating apps to arrange meetings with unsuspecting women. Police believe many victims may not know what happened to them.
Detectives say victims were drugged without their knowledge or consent and sexually assaulted while incapacitated.
In a release posted on Tuesday, detectives say four additional charges have been laid against 37-year-old Hayward. The new charges are sexual assault, voyeurism, gang sexual assault and administration of a stupefying or overpowering drug.

Hayward was initially charged by Calgary police after a victim came forward in August 2025.
Hamilton police continued the investigation, resulting in 47 charges being laid against Hayward in 2025.

All of the charges have yet to be proven in court.
Detectives believe there to be additional victims and are asking anyone who may have had contact with Richard or Hayward to come forward.
