Burlington warns of lane closure on Niagara-bound Skyway Bridge this Saturday

Drivers may see delays on Saturday as one lane of the Niagara-bound QEW on the Burlington Skyway Bridge will be closed for repairs.

Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation says one eastbound lane out of three — lane 1 — will be blocked off between 2 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

The lane will be closed for rehabilitation as it gets paved and waterproofed.

The Eastport Drive Collector in Burlington will be open during the closure and is available as an alternate route.

Drivers can access the Niagara-bound QEW both before the north and after the south part of the Burlington Lift Bridge.

There is no additional weekend work scheduled following this closure.
