Niagara police arrest 30-year-old man following child sexual abuse investigation

Niagara police have arrested 30-year-old Sartaj Singh after an investigation into child sexual assault and sexual interference.

On Wednesday, police responded to a report of sexual interference at Vintage Park in St. Catharines.

Their investigation revealed that a man had been communicating with several girls under the age of 16 on Snapchat. He was arranging to meet the girls at Vintage Park, where he is believed to have sexually assaulted them.

Police located and arrested Singh in Mississauga. He faces the following charges:

  • Luring a child x 2
  • Sexual assault x 4
  • Sexual interference x 4
  • Invitation to sexual touching
  • Failure to comply with release order x 4

Singh is known to use the aliases “Jason,” “Damian Oliver,” and “Sid,” along with the Snapchat account names jason39696 and sid45843.

Investigators believe there may be more survivors and are encouraging them to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009569.
