OPP investigating fatal head-on crash on Highway 403 in Ancaster

The collision reconstruction unit is on scene.Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal head-on crash on Highway 403 in Hamilton.

OPP say a transport truck travelling in the eastbound lanes went through the centre ditch, colliding head on with a westbound vehicle around 10 a.m. Wednesday near Highway 6 South.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the victim is a 65-year-old man from Ancaster.

The truck driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
