World leaders clash over Netanyahu’s ICC warrant

There has been a mixed reaction to the ICC’s decision to issue an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with some world leaders stating they would abide by the war tribunal’s decision, while others have flat-out rejected it. Just today, Netanyahu himself called the move “anti-Semitic.”

The warrant has certainly deepened the divide around the globe and sparked an interesting conversation about the ICC and its ability to function as an upholder of international law.

While it’s unlikely that Netanyahu will be dragged off in handcuffs anytime soon, the Israeli PM will certainly need to be cautious about where he travels.
