Europe has ‘maybe six weeks’ of jet fuel left, says head of IEA

VIDEO: The head of the International Energy Agency shared a perilous update on Europe’s jet fuel supply, warning that it has maybe six weeks until it runs out. Flights could soon start to be cancelled if oil supplies remain blocked as a result of the U.S.-Israel war on Iran.

This comes as peak travel season lingers just around the corner, where fuel demand is higher and costs skyrocket.

The head of the IEA has said this the largest energy crisis we have ever faced and the longer this war goes on, the worse it gets. Already KLM, one of Europe’s largest airlines has cut 160 flights from Amsterdam next month alone, saying they’re no longer financially viable to operate.
