The winds are picking up again, and the death toll is rising, in what could be the worst wildfires in California’s history.

More than 20 people are confirmed dead, dozens more are missing, over 100,000 people are under evacuation orders, and thousands of homes have been destroyed.

Now investigators are saying they are closer to figuring out how the fires began.

A lawsuit was filed today alleging a California utility company is to blame for the deadly Eaton fire burning just outside Los Angeles.

An official cause hasn’t been determined, but police are investigating the company’s equipment.
