Niagara Regional Police made three arrests and seized drugs and stolen property during an assault investigation in Niagara Falls.
Officers were called to a variety store on Lundy’s Lane around 2 a.m. on Monday. They found a man with serious injuries.
Police say the victim had been standing in front of the store when a four men and a woman got out and attacked him.
The suspects fled the area in a grey Dodge Caravan.
The victim was treated in hospital and released later that morning.
Around 10:30 a.m. uniform officers found the same man suffering from new injuries from an assault that just happened at a home in Niagara Falls. The victim was taken to hospital.
Police say two of the suspects responsible for the first assault were also responsible for the second.
The woman and two of the men were identified and arrested at a house on Main St.
A search warrant was executed and officers seized about $15,000 worth of stolen property, a prohibited knife and several drugs.
Shawn Michael Ott, 51, of Niagara Falls faces two counts of aggravated assault and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Michael Lambkin, 46, of Niagara Falls has also been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Jennifer Shannon Bedard, 42, of Niagara Falls has been charged with aggravated assault.
Police are still looking to identify the two other men and are asking anyone with any information to contact them.
Suspect 1 is described as:
- White male
- Between 5’10 and 6’2 feet tall, muscular build
- 30-40 years, dark hair
- Grey hoodie
- Blue jeans
- Light blue / turquoise running shoes
Suspect 2 is described as:
- White male, unknown age, short or shaved hair,
- Wearing a dark blue or black sweater with white writing
- Dark coloured baseball hat
