Ontario is reporting 76 cases of COVID-19 but the province says data from 11 public health units has not been included.

Health Minister Christine Elliott called it a “glitch” in the Integrated Public Health Information System (iPHIS) used by those regions.

She said in a tweet that these 11 public health units reported a total of eight new cases on Wednesday.

Brant County, Niagara Region and the City of Hamilton are among the public health units affected.

Thursday’s numbers include one new death and an additional 76 resolved cases.

Using the data provided by the province, that puts the number of active cases at 964.

The number of hospitalizations and patients on ventilators declined while ICU admissions remained stable.

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:

Haldimand-Norfolk: 1 new case, 21 active cases

Brant: 1 new case, 6 active cases

Niagara: 2 new cases, 41 active cases

Hamilton: 6 new cases, 50 active cases

Halton: 2 new cases, 29 active cases
