HAPPENING NOW:

Wait time too long after stroke

Many people are still waiting too long to seek medical attention after they’ve had a stroke.

That’s according to a study of four years of stroke-care data gathered in Ontario.

It says more than one-in-three people who have a stroke don’t go to hospital by ambulance.

Experts say calling 9-1-1 is the appropriate response to signs or symptoms of strokes.
