Torch of Life relay raising organ donor awareness
The issue of organ donation has gotten a lot of media attention in recent weeks – a good thing for the more than 1500 people across the province waiting for a life saving transplant or tissue donation.
But as Maria Hayes reports, a disappointing fact remains: only 19 percent of people over the age of 16 have registered to be a donor.
