Screening for colon cancer
Researchers say obese white women are up to 27% less likely to be screened for colon cancer.
Researchers reviewed data from more than twenty published studies on colonoscopy rates.
They say this particular group of women appear to avoid the test.
They go on to say that negative body image may be the reason they don’t seek screening.
