Women who were born prematurely have an increased risk of complications during future pregnancies.
That’s according to a new Canadian study based on data from over 20,000 women.
Researchers found pregnancy risks almost doubled for mothers born before 32 weeks of gestation.
Those risks include gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension and preeclampsia.
Chronic high blood pressure and type two diabetes were also more high blood pressure and type two diabetes were also more frequent among women born preterm.
