HAPPENING NOW:

A new comedy about the importance of friendship during tragedy is now airing on FOX.
Set in Long Island, New York, Pivoting tells the story of three women coping with the death of the fourth member of their group.
When Eliza Coupe, Ginnifer Goodwin and Maggie Q. are faced with the reality that life is short, they pivot and alter their current paths by way of a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions.
“They all pivot – that’s the title – and all make radical life changes. Most of them go a little too far,” actor Tommy Dewey said in an interview on Morning Live Thursday.
Dewey plays the role of Henry, who is the husband of Eliza Coupe. The goal of his character is to keep the women from not getting too wild.
He said the takeaway from this series is that it is okay to use humour as a way to cope with difficult times.
“The worse the tragedy, the more humour might be necessary to get through,” Dewey said.
Pivoting airs at 9:30 p.m. every Thursday on FOX.
Dewey also lends his voice to the Paramount+ and Nickelodeon series Rugrats, starring as Stu Pickles.
Additional credits include his starring role as Alex Cole in Casual and star of Now We’re Talking.
