Members of the Canadian Armed Forces will be conducting convoy training in Hamilton and the surrounding areas on Wednesday evening.

Residents may see military vehicles in Hamilton, Waterdown, Freelton, Puslinch, Campellville, and Milton.

Personnel from 31 Service Battalion 23 Hamilton Support Company are expected to complete convoy drills on a planned route out toward Milton and back to CFRB Hamilton.

The training will not involve dismount drills unless vehicle breakdowns occur, and military vehicles may be seen on Highway 403, Highway 6, Campbellville Road, and throughout Hamilton and surrounding areas.

These exercises are conducted to ensure Canadian Army Reserve members know how to operate specific vehicle platforms and stay up to date on convoy drills.

The impact on the community and drivers in the area should be minimal but members of the public are still reminded to exercise extra caution when approaching military vehicles.
