Halton police searching for two people after assault report in Burlington

Halton police say they’re looking for a woman who may have been the victim of an assault in Burlington on Tuesday night.

Officers say they received a report from a witness, who described an incident where a man was assaulting a woman in the area of Guelph Line and Fairview Street around 11 p.m.

They’re still trying to locate the woman, who is described as white, in her early-mid 20s, wearing a brown jacket and possibly a purple backpack.

The suspect is described as a man with a brown complexion, approximately 25 years old, wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, or black sweatpants.
