Police share details on suspects involved in St. Catharines shooting

Niagara police are sharing photos from a St. Catharines shooting that left a man critically injured just over a week ago.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting on Oct. 17 at around 10:20 p.m. in the area of Vine Street and Old Pine Trail.

Detectives have confirmed that the dark grey sedan captured on video surveillance footage was not involved in this incident.

Police have shared descriptions of the men and the vehicle they were seen in when driving south on Vine Street away from the shooting.

The first man is described as wearing a sweater that is half white and half black and black pants.

The second man is described as wearing a black sweater with a grey shirt underneath and also wearing dark pants.

Both men were said to be wearing ski masks at the time.

The vehicle is described as a dark grey sedan.

Investigators are asking that anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting or for anyone who may have dashcam footage, video surveillance or any other pertinent information to call the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009703.

Members of the community who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477(TIPS). Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to people who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
